Presidents' Message

Happy New Year!  This month we celebrate two New Years' celebrations, one on the first and Chinese New Year on the 23rd.  This year is the Year of the Dragon, a symbol of good fortune.  People born in the year of the dragon are naturally confident and very successful.

The Center is having a very successful start to 2012.  Our Senior group has almost doubled in size.  This year, almost thirty members performed judging duties for our Language School's Chinese New Year Art Contests.  An alumni group has formed in our Traditional Dance program, by popular demand.  The Lion Troupe's season is kicking off this month with twenty performances scheduled including Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday, February 4th.

Our Annual Chinese New Year Banquet on March 3rd is sold out!  Thank you to everyone for supporting CCLI.  We are thriving because of you!  May this Year of the Dragon be the best!

We are working hard to bring you fun, informative programs and events that bring us together as a community. Please feel free to drop us a line with suggestions or ideas – we’d love to hear from you!

Helen Chin & Stephanie Tang Bartoldus, co-presidents
